# Fair Launch

Pendia is a self-funded project gearing up for a fair launch of its $PEN token in early April 2024.

This launch, set to ensure equitable access to the token for all users, marks the moment when $PEN becomes tradable. In preparation, the token's smart contract will be open-sourced and shared with the community before the token pair is created on the Ethereum blockchain.

The anticipated date for this milestone is **April 8, 2024.**

In line with our commitment to bypass public sales, presales, or venture capital funding, Pendia will implement a buy-and-sell tax system within the $PEN token contract. This move aims to accelerate the platform's development and growth.

* **Buy Tax**: Each purchase of $PEN tokens will incur a 5% tax.
* **Sell Tax**: A similar 5% tax is levied on all $PEN token sales.

The revenue from these taxes will be directly reinvested into Pendia, boosting marketing initiatives, fostering community engagement, and supporting continuous development efforts.

These thoughtful tax measures are key to nurturing Pendia growth, ensuring we stay true to our ethos of fairness and transparency. By steering clear of conventional funding avenues, we preserve our independence and align our financial endeavors with the best interests and welfare of our community.
